Throughout his world travels in the late 90’s, Fetanat took a liking to the jewelry industry and quickly identified a need for a business that could provide the jewelry industry with an online presence and more cutting-edge marketing tools; thus GemFind was born. Ever since 1999, the GemFind Network has been the leading destination for the jewelry industry. GemFind.net, the jewelry industry’s one-stop shopping destination for business-to-business online solutions, such as web development and execution, online advertising and marketing, virtual jewelry and diamond inventory from hundreds of designers/manufacturers and diamond dealers with many online tools as well.

Before starting GemFind, Alex Fetanat founded ACS, Inc., a software development company accountable for creating the first inventory control system for pre-owned auto dealerships. Alex Fetanat successfully led ACS for 6 years until it was sold in 1994. That very same year, Alex started a Website hosting and development company, which he sold two years later.

In terms of education, Alex Fetanat earned his degree in computer engineering from California State University, Fullerton in 1987.

GemFind is a delighted member of the American Gem Society in addition to CJA, AGTA, JIC, 24 kt club and other jewelry associations. He was recommended for the Entrepreneur of the Year award in February 2009 by Orange County Business Journal.
